Hi, I’m Alex Rubycz. I’m originally from a town called New Milton in the New Forest National Park in the south of England. I did, however, do my undergraduate degree here in Nottingham, so I have an affinity for this area.
I have worked in many fields since graduating, including: secondary schools, special needs education and extra-curricular study support. In 2012/13 I was a volunteer with an indigenous rights organisation in Sulawesi, Indonesia. After this I decided to become an EFL teacher, qualifying in Jakarta in 2013 and working as an English teacher in Kuala Lumpur for two years. Since returning to the UK in late 2015 I have been teaching at a number of different schools and colleges in the Nottingham and East midlands area.
Outside of teaching, my interests are football (and any sport really) and hill walking. My partner and I often go to the Derbyshire Dales or the Peak District at weekends to explore the beautiful hills and countryside.
I look forward to helping you with your English at Nottingham Language Academy.
