Hello, my name is Marina and I am originally from Italy, where I first studied English and American Literature and Language. Along the way I lived in the UK, the US, and visited many places in Europe as well. As well as the CELTA, I have a doctoral degree in American literature and translation studies and a degree in English, Italian and German literature. I have been teaching English and Italian for so many years now that I like to think I love them equally much. My research and my interests have taken me to many places and each new place brought new friends. Before Nottingham, I was teaching both Italian and English at Georgia State University in Atlanta, and sometimes I miss the wonderful spring flowers.
I believe that learning should be fun and I want my class to be a place where we can learn together. I still enjoy meeting new people and seeing them gain confidence in a new language.
