Hi, I'm Linda and I'm an English language teacher here at Nottingham Language Academy. I am originally from Nottingham, born at a small hospital on The Ropewalk many years ago, so I really am a local. However, I have lived in different countries including Switzerland, Germany and the States.
I have been teaching English for over 20 years, starting in Germany where I lived with my (then) young family for 18 years. There I taught in language schools, businesses and universities working with all ages from 3 to75 with people from different backgrounds and all levels. Since returning to the UK I’ve worked in Cheltenham, Sheffield and finally Nottingham heading back to my roots.
When I'm not teaching I love walking with my dog, reading, sewing, and my garden (including making cider from the apple and pear trees). I love travelling to different countries and learning about the local history and culture. Meeting different nationalities in a friendly family atmosphere is why I enjoy teaching at the NLA.
